BEIS has launched its new ‘TrustMark’ scheme, with the aim of increasing protection for 300,000 lowincome households that are supported through energy saving measures under the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO). Announced on Monday 15 July, the new ‘Each Home Counts’ quality mark will see work undertaken by trusted tradesman under new government plans, alongside a £3.6bn investment into upgrading peoples’ homes to reduce emissions and optimise energy efficiency. The scheme builds on the established government endorsed ‘TrustMark’ scheme, which monitors businesses to ensure they meet industry standards.
