On Tuesday 17 December, Ofgem published its Feed in Tariff (FiT) Q219 report covering the July to September period. The report saw a 28% drop in total installed capacity in Q119 becoming accredited at just under 44MW, bringing the total as of the end of Q219 to 6,316MW. Despite this, the regulator noted a slight increase in the number of hydro and wind installations on Q119 values. During the quarter, 5,380 installations were registered, with the total number of installations reaching 863,079 at the end of Q219. Installed capacity in Q219 by technology type was observed at 79.95% for Solar PV, 11.87% for wind, 4.63% for anaerobic digestion, 3.54% for hydro and 0.01% for micro CHP. There was £475.6mn of FiT export and generation payments, with levelisation payments totaling to around £436.7mn. Also noted was failures by Toto Energy and Electraphase to pay into the levelisation fund by the 8 November deadline.
