Plymouth City Council have confirmed plans to trial vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology to accelerate the city’s
transition from traditional industrial combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs), provide
greater support the city’s power network and work towards “a future proof energy system.” Published on
Tuesday 3 September, phase one will see the council will trial V2G with six Nissan Leaf vehicles in its fleet
alongside two-way charges, enabling electricity to be taken form the grid, as well as supplied.
