The government has announced that £48mn is to be invested in 263 new low emission buses to be deployed across the UK. In the Wednesday 6 February announcement, the government said that the investment would come from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV). Among the 19 successful bidders, Transport for London will see 63 electric buses, Cardiff City Council 36, Stagecoach Manchester 32 and Brighton and Hove Buses will receive 20 hydrogen buses.
