Vattenfall has won a contract to install 12 electric vehicle (EV) chargers for Canterbury City Council. Announced on Monday 7 January, the council said that Vattenfall, working with BMM Energy Solutions, will install its InCharge technology in a number of city centre car parks in Canterbury. The chargers have been paid for via Office for Low Emission Vehicles grants and contributions from Vattenfall and BMM Energy Solutions. Councillor Simon Cook, Leader of Canterbury City Council and Chairman of its Policy and Resources Committee, said: “The installation of these first EV charging points is an important first step in the journey to provide the infrastructure that will deliver cleaner air for the district.”
