Drax has launched an end-to-end electric vehicle (EV) service to help businesses switch their fleets to EVs. Announced on Monday 29 April, the service includes site assessment and civil work, EV charging infrastructure, charging operating software, the leasing of EVs, and supplying 100% renewable electricity. Drax’s first customer for the service was SES Water and it said this has resulted in the business rolling out a new charging infrastructure with the aim to provide “carbon savings of 43 tonnes of CO2 per year”. SES Water has invested in 16 new charging points and is initially replacing 10 of its 120 strong fleet of diesel vans with EVs.
