Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC) and Triodos Bank UK (Triodos) have announced on Wednesday 30
October their renewed investment in the largest community-owned solar farm in the UK. The 14.7MW Heart
of England Community Energy is SASC’s sixth community energy investment, where the company has now
invested over £15.5mn in renewable energy projects. The project is co-located with 3MW of battery storage
capacity, operated by a third party, where the site is used to both generate solar energy as well as provide
storage services to the grid.
